New to topiary

I'm interested in growing a topiary for a school project. I will buy the frame, then do everything else on my own. If I start soon would I be able to finish a 2-3 foot tall topiary with creeping fig or English ivy by the end of February? I've also considered using fern moss as a covering, I would imagine using that would cut time down. I've done some research online, but there isn't too much out there on topiaries!

ItÃ¢ÂÂs a good idea to grow topiary plants in small pots and use "liners" or cuttings according to the shape that you desire.

I hope you post pics when you get finished. This is my first look into this forum. I hope to do a topiary project myself. So, your pics would be a good source of encouragement.
