Start taping at 4PM on the HGTV channel. These 2 shows are the best out there for tours and instruction: Gardener's Journal, Gardener's Diary. Try looking for more such shows on HGTV by going to their website. Gardening by the Yard is really good, very entertaining and very basic.

There is a series, I think 4 - 6 by Audrey Hepburn, Gardens of the World.

It's a wonderful feast for the eyes and the soul... Worth looking into.

I bought some videos through an Australian distributor - they have an on-line catalogue which gives quite good descriptions and there are gardening videos from other sources as well (they are not all gardening but most are). You need Acrobat reader though

The Victory Garden is a fairly well established garden show. You can find out more about it on PBS as well as the above mentionned HGTV (Canadian TV channel). Just click on the PBS site and follow the links until you get to The Victory Garden.
