One more item to note: We will be painting the back wall in the entry area a deep, rich gray. (A side question--when you paint an accent wall, do you paint a soffit that hangs down in the middle of it? And, do you paint the door that hangs on that wall... or do you leave these things white?)

I think the renovations will give the house a fresh, modern touch. I love the bright door idea. I think it should be really bright... Of your choices I like summer plum best. It is really close to one of my recent client recolors (photo). Have you considered a canary yellow or brighter orange? For some reason I am envisioning those 2 with the new gray siding. As far as the back, I would paint the door frames the same color as your front door, and not sure about the soffits (would have to see the current version with new siding first).

I am a little unsure about the do's/don'ts of painting an accent wall that has a door to a room... That is, I am leaning towards painting the back wall of the interior entry a deep gray color--this will be visible through the glass pane of the front (perhaps summer plum) door.. This wall has a door to a bedroom. My question is whether a door on an accent wall needs to be painted the same color (e.g., deep gray) or whether it (and its trim) should be painted white like other doors on adjacent walls that make up the entry way space.

For interior question: paint door on accent wall the same as other doors.

On the front door, all of the colors are nice. The landscaping needs to be refreshed. I see a lot of green and would like to see more green + some color. The split complementary colors of green are "plum" and "orange". Whatever color you choose for the front door have some plants in the split complement. For instance: If the door is the Moroccan Spice, plant some "plum" color plants. Here's a photo I saw on your site. The plum spike plants would look really ice with the Moroccan Spice door (perhaps planted around the tree on right).
