I was just given some shell ginger today. The lady who gave them to me has had decades of experience with these plants and seemed to think they would do fine. She just poked a shovel down into the clump and pulled up the 'tuber' and a good clump of roots.

I am going to plant them in an area of dappled sunlight even though hers were in full sun. After the scorching ride in the truck I think they will need all of the help they can get right now.
