Now tonight is COLD!

I am expecting to get 18 degree temps tonight. I think tonight may really burn my citrus trees. I have had them planted in ground since 2003 with no problem, but my Meyer is already starting to show damage tonight. Leaves are drooping and new growth is dead. We are still supposed to drop another 6-7 degrees from where we are now (12:00am) by morning. I have all of my tropicals protected pretty well, but they may still have tough time tonight. When it's this cold out the warmest I am able to keep my little greenhouse even with a space heater is about 36. I am most worried about my cacao's which are finally pushing new growth, I know the mangoes and lychees will survive ok but I am worried that I will lose all of my mango and lychee flower spikes. I have my sweetheart lychee in ground instead of in the greenhouse with everything else, but I have that thing wrapped in a frost cloth, then a layer of plastic with christmas lights strung on the branches and a ceramic hit emitter on the ground. That actually keeps the temp at over 50 degrees in the canopy even when it's 20 degrees outside. Good luck to everyone else out there. At least it looks like a warm up is on the way.

Is it worth trying to spray the citrus trees with water to get them through the night?
