How cold does it get in your garage at night and what is the daytime temperature?

Daytime temperatures outside have been around 53-55 F. Nighttime temperatures outside have been around 43-45 F.

Inside our house, during winter, the temperatures hang around 65 F. Our garage temperatures doesn't get that cold, maybe 55-60 F. Many of times I would go down to the garage during the night to fix my car. I don't feel that cold in my pajama or have a need for a jacket.

Anyways, some of the leaves on the mango tree are turning dry. I don't understand. The soil is not dry, not compact, and get good drainage. I only water the tree when the container feels light, or once every 2-3 weeks.

Any ideas? The stem looks fine. I'm just afraid that when Spring time rolls around, their won't be any leaves left on the tree.

Fertilizing too much? Have you inspected the undersides of the leaves for insects? PH?

All the leaves are clean. Some of the leaves that dropped, are still green and look normal.

Should I change the soil again? I did mix the soil with Osmocote slow-releasing pellet 19-6-12, but I didn't add a lot of it. My medium is just Supersoil, bark, tiny lava rocks, perlite, a lot of sand, and a pinch of Osmocote.

It did fine before with that same soil mix. Good drainage.

I did re-pot on Dec 13, 2007, though. Weeks laters was when I notice the dropping. The only thing different was I added a PVC breathe hole (tube) to the container.

I am suspicous about my pH.
