Trade Winds Fruit has a few different kinds of papaya seeds for a reasonable price. I would also check out ebay as another source.

Since you are in the US I am not sure what issues you'd have ordering from alohaseed. I have ordered from them many times in the past with no issues. I think they are located in California so you should not have a problem with import duties etc. Their seeds are probably the best seeds to order from online. I have also ordered papaya seeds from both ebay and tradewinds and their seeds have not as reliable or as good a quality as alohaseed.

I have ordered from Aloha seed, into Florida, with no problem, they are located in California so there should not be any problem with receiving seeds.

Papaya seeds for sale at www.seedflorida.com of Florida Seeds company are a great selection F1 hybrids obtained from traditional breeding. You may find maradol papaya seeds or other maradol
papaya types depending on size, color, shape, brix, soil, and other parameters you may be interested in.

I always just use store bought fruit and throw the seeds everywhere in my yard.

maradol will probably be the easiest to grow.

the guys at www.seedflorida.com have been great, i cant see you going wrong with them at all.

the 2 times i got seed from Aloha, they were small and dried out looking.

University of Hawaii has some also... i got x-77 which is a dwarf tree and produces a very sweet orange fruit... its not as prolific, not as many fruit, and they are smaller also than Maradol. http://www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/seed/
