Normally when I order Actinovate it is enough for one season. I keep mine in a cool,dry place. Application can be done several ways. First year applied the Actinovate powder to each root ball prior to plant out. Second I did the same thing and also applied mycorrhiza to the root ball as well. Last year I mixed the Actinovate and Mycorrhiza in a gallon of water and submerged the pots into the solution one at a time for about 5 seconds, removed and allowed the pot to drain back into the bucket and planted. As I was using CowPots (biodegradeable) I planted the whole thing. If you are using plastic pots remove the plant from the pot after draining and then plant. Any left over solution I used to water the newly planted plants. Also if using the dip method agitate the solution in the bucket every so often to keep it mixed. Ami

The expiration date is printed on the back of the Actinovate package. I store my unused portion in the Vegetable bin of the refrigerator and believe I can get an extra 6 to 9 months activity beyond this date. Purely unscientific assumption - - but I have to believe keeping the remaining amount in the refrigerator can do no harm.

Also, if one actually looks into the "other" ingredients (which they no longer provide information on), one might think twice about storing it in the frig with food stuffs. Such an action would not be a no-go with OSHA or safety inspectors at edu's or commercial situations.
