Using Kellog's fertilizer

I bought some Kellog's organic fertilizer for tomatoes from HD. It has lot's of good microbes in it. The directions gives two options for application. One is to side dress. One is to put the stuff in water and let sit for 24-48 hours, than use as foliar feed. I'm assuming I could then use the sludge, perhaps a tsp on each plant as a side dressing as well.

What has been your experience with this fertilizer? It seems to have lots of good stuff and wasn't terribly expensive. I have some sitting in water now as that seemed to make the most sense to me, letting all the microbes ferment and multiply before putting them in the ground.

Would you sidedress or let it set in water if using this? How often should I do this? Also, I'm using Irontite because I have an iron deficiency in my older peppers and tomatoes from last year (the ones I planted in the fall) and I'm wondering if I should continue to use that and when I should use that in relationship to the Kellog's.

There is compost in and on top of my plants. It's not homemade because I didn't have enough. I will, however, be harvesting about 25lbs of vermicompost and be sidedressing with that soon. Unless you have a better suggestion with how to use that black gold on my tomatoes.

My tomatoes are all around 2 feet with some blossoms. (except the stunted ones, I had to keep my seedlings outside all winter due to a house fire and some were stunted because of this lack of care)
