Hi everyone. I'm usually over at the house plants forum but I have a question for the Ny-ers. I know I should've probably posted this on the Metro NYC forum, but it seems quite dead. Maybe one of you will be able to help.

My question is- do any of you know any interesting garden centers, nurseries or even regular stores around Garden City, LI, where they stock a big selection of plants? I'm from NYC but am going to be there for a few hours tomorrow and thought it maybe my big chance to finally start my spring shopping spree.

We have just a handfull of nurseries here in nyc, and the local HD etc have very boring stuff. I was hoping somewhere out of the city may be stocking up, now that the weather is getting warmer.

Any help will be appreciated. Oh, and if you do give suggestions, any directions or a bit of help in the location of the place would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks!
