I have been curious about what happens with the yard waste collected in the county of Loudoun. I doubt that the leaves and grass clippings collected go into the free mulch. I know that some municipalities provide free or cheap compost from collected waste, but not Loudoun. I searched the web and I am not sure that I answered my question but I did come across a company that looks interesting: Loudoun Composting.

Has anybody heard of these guys? It looks like they have a composting facility off Route 50. Their website indicates that they sell leaf mulch and compost, but I see that they say wholesale only. Is this where yard waste collected in Loudoun County goes?
