Citrus of course which can be difficult here, probably better off in California as well

Mangokush - Not White Sapote, it was Green Sapote that I tried last year (April-May.) The fruit were locally grown here in South Florida. I dont know exactly where the tree they were picked is located because the fruit were given to me. I enjoyed it so much that I called just about every nursery between Orlando and Key West to find someone selling the trees. The only place that had them and regularly has them is Laras Nursery in South Miami/Dade. I found out later that they specialise in both Green and Mamey Sapote.

I'm hoping to soon plant a large Loquat seedling with two early varieties grafted to it (Christmas & Bradenton). The loquat is still attached to the second scion on an appproach graft but should be ready to separate and plant soon.

I saw the recent picture of your sugar apple tree, it looks very strong and healthy. My Sugar Apple tree did lousy the past year first it had scale, then some catapillars really tore into it and recently it had some black leaf spotting. Long story short it held no fruit at all.

At my house, this year at least, the fall fruits so far are avocado,dragonfruit, monstera, ross sapote, pummelo, carambola and some very limited jakfruit. In a regular year, jakfruit is done by now, but with the late, cold inhibited and reduced bloom, there are fruits that still may not mature until December. Going through my class notes from many years ago, these are the fruits that can bear in Fall/Winter:

Kiwi, pineapple, illama, pond apple, guanabana, custard apple, sugar apple, atemoya, bignay, kwai muk, billimbi,carambola, akee, papaya, karanda, natal plum, cecropia, coco plum, sour orange, pummelo, calomondin, grapefruit, tangerine/mandarin, tangelo, sea grape, coconut, mabolo, black sapote, ross sapote, persimmon, dovyalis, lingaro, loquat, feijoa, fig, governor's plum, rukam, kumquat, kaffir plum, roselle, chineese raisan, inga, langsat, sunsapote, macadamia nut, Barbados cherry, sapodilla, momoncillo, monstera, muntingia, banana, jaboticaba, myrciaria vexator, emblic, cattley guava, guava in general, pomegranate, rollinia, mysore raspberry, ambarella, mombin, miracle fruit, cacao, jujube, dragonfruit (pitaya) and avocado

This is a fairly exstensive list. Many of these things have main fruiting seasons that are basically late suumer, but run into the Fall. Others have sporadic crops throughout the year and may bear in a Winter or fall season. Most of these things are interesting horticulturally but I wouldn't bother growing them as they are only marginally worth the effort based on the fruit you get (IMHO of course).

Harry do you know anyone that has a fruiting mabolo? ive always wanted to sample the fruit, have you ever and do you have any opinions?

Mabolo tastes like a fruit version of a cheddar cheese spread. There was a fruting tree in the tropical fruit garden at Broward Community College....now called Broward College, near Nova SE Campus. Not sure if it is still there. That was 15 or so years ago.
