I am attempting to grow fuzzy kiwis in Northern Virginia. Has anyone tried this?

Kiwi is extremely robust as a vine! I had it planted along a fence with a neighbor--had to move it as it was taking over the neighbor's yard. You will need a male and female plant for fruit as I assume you know. Currently have mine in pots until I figure out what to do with them. Not saying not to do it, just they grow so fast once established, they will need some maintenance.

I am VERY successfully growing fuzzy kiwis here in Fairfax Station, VA, near Clifton. I presently have about 300+ fruits on my pergola on my front porch. I have 2 female plants there and 2 male plants in the front yard. I have picked a few dozen and am going to ripen them in paper bags with bananas or apples. I am going to try kiwi jam with splenda this week.
