Well...Tim Tebow is a Florida hero. I can't believe they would name a mango after him if it wasn't fantastic!! How many fruit do YOU know that has been named after a college football player??

I was actually going to pick one of these up a couple weeks ago but went with Pickering instead. Sounds great, but it looks like it gets too large for me.

Edward might be the best tasting mango in the world......it would be more widely planted if it didn't produce so poorly. Kent is excellent as well but a much better producer. This is a cross that mango enthusiasts dream of.

I think I have posted this before...but at my house, Edward is not a shy bearer. Definitely not a heavy bearer, but it consistantly produces nice crops of very large and very delicious mangos. And, they are earlier than most others I have and will bloom twice in most seasons. I have one in bloom now and it will traditionally bloom again if there isn't significant fruit set at the more traditional February bloom period.

Jay... well since Tim Tebow is from Florida University and what he has done for there football program and how exceptional the guy plays, they named after the him maybe because the description of the mango variety is comparable with Tim Tebow performance.

- I will never know why mango enthusiasts have big praise with Edwards mango and maybe it is one of best tasting mangoes in Florida until I fruit my newly grafted Edwards mango. I wish I could taste one right now.

Might go to Thailand Feb-2010 with my family friends from California to have a vacation. Can you recommend a fruit nursery where I could find there new seedless sugar apple and tropical lychees??? or any recommended varieties? :)

Im in st. pete, anyone know where i can get a Tebow mango tree, everything I read about them is amazing but I cant find one anywehre. Someone help me out!!!!

Did you try Pine? I know a lot of the nurseries are out of stock. Top and Nipa said that they wont have stock of most of there fruits till spring.

Edward is a hybrid of Carabao and Haden, it was cultivated to be the perfect balance of Asian and Indian mangos

so Tebow would be (Carabo x Haden) x Kent

im going to look for ti this season, have a feeling im not going to like it as much as Edwards

I got mine a few months ago at Pine Island Nursery. They had one or two others all 3 gallon size. I asked PIN earlier about getting a Tebow tree and was told they were unavailable until spring when they would have 3 gallon size trees. Luckily the worker that took me around PIN knew where the last few were at and I was able to get one.

So far with the cold its been dormant since being transplanted. I'm hoping its a vigorous growing tree as advertised because I planted it right were I want some extra privacy.
