Staples are not a problem.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you're really concerned you can always check them with a magnet. :-))
But it's not like the staples are going to break down (in the near future) and each worm is going to get a piece.

Also, do you think the type of teabag is important too? I put in ginger teabags, I think it might be too spicy!

Spice does not bother worms.

Staples aside, most tea bags have some thermo-plastic in them to allow heat sealing of their seams. This will not biodegrade in your bin so you might want to cut them open, empty the tea into your bin and throw away the bags.
