Yikes! You've got a bit of work ahead of you.

I recommend you hire a professional to get you a master design scheme.
Make those tough decisions of "must have", "must keep" and "get rid of"
(eg: Keep floors and doors, get rid of all maple cabinetry, lighting, stained glass etc.)

I'm not saying that is what you should do, but you should know in your mind seeing it, what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of. Most importantly, what is in the budget to do all of this.

I like the high gloss white cabinetry in the bathroom - it feels clean, fresh - adding more layers of white on white, making it purposeful could be stunning. Add a quartz countertop or carrara marble - perfect...

You have a beautiful home, I want you to make the right decisions for you and on here, you are only going to get inundated with both professional and amateur opinions on what you should do, instead of what is right for you, your family, your budget, and your new home.

don't forget to under light the vanity with LED light strips.
If you are going to go darker with the floors and Cabinets, given the mahogany doors remember to balance the dark with a strong lighting program. The failure of most designs is inadequate or poorly coordination of lighting. I find my best consultants in this area are lighting designers for stage production. Checking at university theater arts departments can be a place to start.

Beautiful home. I would live in and get to know the home before I changed much. If you are from another area of the country, you may want to learn the ' lay of the land' and regional design style before changing anything. With that being said, I love the idea of Manogany floors and agree that the laminate items must go in a house of such grand scale. Rather than adding to the already large amount of wood you have with the floors and heavy doors, I would consider painted cabinetry. Check out farrow and ball cabinet paint. IMO, the cabinet that jets pass the sheet rock much be removed or changed as not to distant attention from the beauty of the home. Happy Renovations!
