mold on fruit

I started a compost bin with red wigglers about a month ago. Besides being a little smelly and getting complaints from my roommates, I've been really pleased! However I just noticed that a mango I put in there has mold on it. It seems to be a hot spot with the worms however. There are a ton of them crawling on it and stuff, but could the mold kill them? Or hurt my compost?

on a lark i posted a picture of some neat looking mold i just found in one of my bins

i kinda' look forward to checking my bins to see what alien organism are moving in - as long as they bring little odour mold is ok in my bins, though folks in more southern climates might disagree

citrus/acidic type food stuffs seem to need mold to move the process along and i've recently discovered that sweet potatoe is fairly photogenic :P
