Hi, folks.

So, I think I've been overfeeding my worms. I've had my bin for about a week. I started with about 1/2 lb. of worms adopted from a local contact, and was so excited to compost that I think I have probably given them too much to eat. I'm not sure how much food in weight that I've actually given them - I have a hard time estimating weight. I had cleaned out my fridge and saved up scraps for the week before I got my worms, which may have been an overdose of food right off the bat. I'm a single person, so there wasn't a huge amount of food, but probably about the equivalent of a whole head of broccoli, a potato, and 4 days worth of coffee grounds. Since then, I've fed them once - a few more days of coffee grounds and a couple of banana peels.

In order to solve this problem, how should I proceed? Should I try to remove the un-digested items from my bin, or just stop feeding them for a while until they eat what is there? Should I augment my worm population with more worms?
