Is this Soapstone called Barroca?

I received some samples and Barroca is one of them but out of all the samples Barroca has someone of a rougher texture and it doesn't seem to have the big veining in it that this picture shows.

    The rougher texture could possibly be a "leather" finish that is sometimes offered for Soapstone countertops. You would want to have a "honed" finish. Look at artisan-counters.com at the "mineral black". The amount of the veining depends on the slab itself.

      Thank you for that information. I did not know that. I love the look of this kitchen but do not like soapstones that appear very green. Leaning towards the marble and soapstone together but may do all soapstone due to durability. Beautiful work!

      Does this soapstone have any green in it? It appears straight black but I've been told even the darkest soapstones still have some green in it...

      Soapstone does vary and it is advisable to look at the slabs when selecting color.
