Add egg carton torn up and in two weeks I bet they are all gone.

I could not sleep in the same room as worms.
I realize that is a prejudice not everyone may be under.

I've got those same mites. Here's what I think they are: Beneficial Predatory Mites -
Hypoaspis miles (Stratiolaelaps miles)

these are knights in shinning red armor.

They are probably getting rid of less friendlys and will disapear when their job is done.

Just allow time for the psuedoscorpions to show up, and the mite problem will be under control.

I appreciate al of the advice. The bin is actually in my kitchen area in front of some utility drawers, and I found a couple climbing upo the drawer fronts.

Oh good. I feel way better. If my worms or mites want to get me in my sleep they have to climb up a flight of stairs first. Some vermicomposters use the thin under the bed bins with wheels. I'm not there yet.
