Well, YOU should be OK, but your worms might not depending on what your primary moisture testing tool tells you (see pic of mine).

If your Rapitest meter reading of "1" is OK with the worms, that'll work for them.

After years of using the "finger" method, I broke down and purchased both a compost thermometer with the 20" probe and a moisture meter. The meter is the same brand you have, and I got it for my potted plants. After reading your post I probed all of my outdoor worm systems and the meter was pegged at 4 on all of them. I even have a few compost bins that are full of wigglers which are managed as worm bins. They currently have about a cubic yard of material apiece, and are between 65-80F. Now I can use the meter to time additions of water in the summer.

I also have moisture meters, all 10 of them: they're called Fingers. But I do have long-stemmed oven thermometers in both my bins. I find them invaluable for keeping tabs on bin temps. All I need to do is open the covers and have a look.
