I have a Toro chipper/shredder that attaches to a rototiller, for what it's worth!

Im the one that suggested using the cd shredder. Yes it is a pain having to cut the cardboard down into 6-8 inch wide strips, however i have ADD and alot of free time ::grins::. Just wait til you cut down a refrigerator box.

It will handle any corrugated cardboard that i have been able to find. And some of it is quite thick. The one i have is made by aurora. The only thing i wish that was different is that it had a straight feed to the teeth instead of a curve.

Leaves really dont offer alot of resistance. Having never used just a leaf shredder i dont know what kind of job it would do. Most chipper/shredders have just a big toothed wheel, along with kicking up alot of dust they would also produce alot of different sized pieces. I prefer uniform size pieces.

I normally just stock pile boxes until i get a large amount, put a new blade in my utility knife, then spend about a half hour cutting down boxes. I remove tape and plastic from the boxes when i receive them.

If there is a better method id like to learn about it.
