help! it's freezing again!!!

I bought my Honeysuckle vines on Sat. and planted on Sun. No way they are established good. Last night it got down to 30 degrees (after 80 on Monday I might add!) and I covered then with Wal-Mart plastic bags because that's all I had and got home too late to look around for something else. Now the forcast is for 20 degrees at night!!! I'll be out of town when it gets that cold...I'm thinking of buying clear or white/opaque totes and putting them over my new vines, raised a bit so they don't get too hot in the day (will hit about 40), kind of like a cold-frame and just leaving them that way for a few days while I'm gone.

Good idea? Bad idea? I don't want these to die!
