yes its ok. insects and animals are part of the composting process. lizards are prolly there just to munch on something and aren't usually a part of the process but i wouldnt worry, they're just lizards.

Lizards might actually be after the earwigs and other bugs living in there. And the earwigs and other bugs are after the goodies in the bins. What a nice setup. Cheryl

I only notice earwigs when the bins are dry on top, but I did have a huge snail (squicked me out, bleh!) in one of my outside bins yesterday. It rained heavily that day and night, so perhaps the snail was looking for shelter from the rain, and easy access to some food.

I wouldn't worry too much about the lizard. They don't dig for food that I've even seen, but if it was me, I'd get him out of the bin anyway. I wouldn't want any of my worms eaten because they happened to surface when the lizard was around.
