Does anyone know if Timothy Hay can be mixed with shredded newspaper and used for bedding? Timothy Hay comes green so I would dry in sun first. However I am concerned about my worm bin heating up. Any advice will be appreciated.

Instead of drying it in the sun- why not pre-compost it with your newspaper? Then when you're past the hot composting stage your worms will love it and it'll make great bedding/ foodstuff.

I've had hay heat up even in small quantities.

ok, I'm not sure I know about pre-composting newspaper. I usually shred it, soak, drain, squeeze and use. Am I missing a very important step?

It's mainly carbon (browns) so it would take a long time to compost on its own- but added to greens- your hay- it should get along fine. And yes, Shred, moisten, mix with hay, cover and keep warm.
