Great idea, well done. The usual cause of ants in a bit is that the bin is too dry. If you had increased the moisture level the ants would have moved on.

That was an excellent idea. I'm glad you posted.

I used a product called Tree Tanglefoot to keep ants from a rose bush. I applied the sticky stuff to the canes at the base of the plant for a length of 2 inches (5cm) or about that distance.

I'm not sure if the product is available in Spain, but I suppose petroleum jelly might work as well if applied to the legs of the Can-O-Worms.
