I don't have any experience growing honeysuckle. This Spring I planted Lonicera serotina Florida. When it arrived some of the leaves had purple blemishes. The stems are naturally purple. The new leaves look healthy- green on top; purple-tinged below. Some of the new leaves look as though they are starting to get the same purple blothes as older leaves. Some of the older leaves started to yellow and fall off. A photo can be seen here:

Can anyone please tell me what is causing the purple spots, and how to control or eradicate it?
