Yes, bind weed is very difficult to get rid of, roots run deep, are brittle and break easily and every little bit left behind sprouts into a new plant. Dig out all that you can and be persistent with those that sprout back and believe me you're guaranteed to have some. Or if you don't have any plants of great value in that location, you might want to mix up a strong solution of Round Up and keep going after anything that resprouts. I'm almost free of it after fighting for 3 years, though one can't let your guard down until it's completely eradicated. I likely have a different species of bind weed, though I believe that most run and are difficult to kill.
