Can you help identify this vine?

Hi
I just moved into a new house. The previous owners had started to set up a garden, but only got a far as a few specimens. Unfortunately a lot of weeds have gotten in, so I am trying to figure out trash from treasure.

I noticed this vine growing up the side of my deck posts, and am wondering if someone can help with identifying it. I have included close up shot of the leaves.. so far it doesn't not seem to be producing and kind of flowers.

Looks like Parthenocissus, Virginia creeper.

Thank you, Bookwoman! You are spot on. :)

I was just looking out back and it is really all over the place - climbing up trees and all over the fence.
My Landscape guy told me I had poison ivy out back and asked me to get some weed killer. It looks like he is mistaken. I'm not a huge fan of chemicals, so maybe we can just fight it back.
Looks like it is going to be quite a fight though.

Virginia creeper is nice in small doses, and turns a lovely red in the fall. But too much of it is a nuisance! You can cut it back and rip it out up to a point, but will have to remain vigilant to keep it in check.

Rosa - We have some VC on our property, and I break out in a rash when it touches my skin too much so that may be why he confused it.

It also killed a portion of a large bush it was rambling on so if you let it grow on something live be sure to keep an eye on it. :o)

It does turn a lovely red color in the fall!
