Hi zip,

I wish I had an answer for you, but I have a question! I was wondering what zone/area of NY you are in, and how invasive or not you have found this vine to be. I bought one friday and am still hesitant to plant it after hearing horror stories. I really want to grow it, and have even contemplated putting it in a huge pot (bad, I know..) on my deck to start with - ease my way into eventually planting it into the ground, lol. What is your experience??? Any advice? I hope someone comes along with your answer soon. Thanks so much!

This vine grows fast and well if that is what your looking for. We planted them to grow and cover an overhang on our deck which it did. It is also able to be cut back. We have since put a canopy on half of the overhang with the water run off going on one of the vines which now seems dormant. That is why I made the post asking if the extra water is effecting the vine
