Drill holes in the bottom. Elevate it. Stop obsessing. Read my post today about worm-worship as a warning. Remember that the worms predate us humans, and will be here to compost us all when we finishing killing each other off.

Since you don't have worms yet, and, a 45 gal. tub can be very heavy to move around, even with bedding, I would suggest giving some thought as to where the bin will be "permantly" stationed!!
If it is in the garage or on the patio in good shade, You might consider a frame from 2"x4" lumber with casters mounted underneath. I've done this and it is so easy to "roll" outside to fluff, change bedding, count/sift, and water.
Another thought is, in Texarkanna, You prolly have fire ants, or at least some kind of ant. A pipe/conduit/metal frame can be ant proofed with a grease ring on the legs if the bin is stationed out in the yard. Wood frames will eventually absorb the grease and, "walla", fire ants!!
Bear in mind, plastic will wear very quickly when dragged across a rough surface and castings are "very" dense when moist.
I put Sevin dust on the garage floor to keep unwanted denizens out of my bins and then "roll" the bin smack into the middle of it. To clean up, roll the bin out and sweep!!

Kelly's design doesn't require holes in the bottom or lid. That's what I like about it. I don't have to worry about worm juice on the floor, yet I don't have to mess with trays or stacking bins.
