I am no expert. But it looks like Maggot cocoons. When maggots turn into flies they turn into those kind of cocoons and then hatch into flies

oh, i see. do you think i should be worried about them, or should i just wait for them to turn into flys and let them fly away?

not sure they're fly, but they are a pupal stage of something, and whichever, they shouldn't be there, especially in a small bin indoors - could be any type of flying insect, probably imported on some fruit or veg scrap ... I'd chuck'em

I think that they are roach eggs. Stick them in a jar and see what hatchs.

I thought those weird red eggs were worm cocoons. I found them in a pile of manure I collected. Now I have a bunch of them in my worm bin :(
