English Ivy Tentacle Removal

I just purchased a home that had English Ivy growing up the windows. When I pulled off ivy, it left the 'tentacles' that held the ivy embedded in the paint.

Can someone help me with advice as how to remove them? So far I have been successful only by scraping off the paint!
