Newspapers are much easier to read while relaxing on the back porch and for the 7 of us to share. I love computers, but there are some things they just cannot duplicate. Newspapers on the weekend and books are two such things...and to use as worm bedding/insulation.

I get the Wall ST journal every evening at the place I clean up once everyone goes home from their work. I haven't actually read a newspaper in over 25 years, having burned out in NYC when I once DID work on Wall Street. Three news papers front to back every morning before arriving at the brokerage firm I worked for just about cured me of reading newspapers.
I was using these newspapers to cover my puppy pens with when they are born and until they are about 3 months old for housebreaking, if I have the puppies that long.
Now, I am putting them around my plants outside to provide darkness (the normal purpose of news-papers) and mulch for my worms along with the leaves. I also get huge bags of shredded paper...So, now I have a lot of worm food and worm bedding, and plant compost, and soon potting soil made out of castings and newspapers...Now THAT is enlightening and of benefit to humanity! =o)

I don't get a newspaper since I'm not likely to read it but I will pick them up along with old phone books for gardening and worming purposes.
