In my bin it would all be gone by now. My worms love carrots.

Bury it so you don't have to look at it. They'll eat it eventually.

I have a small amount of worms. I got them from a friend's compost pile. I didn't get a pound of pure worms. I thought I was starting them out slow with this little bit of ground carrot. They should eat faster. I hope they multiply soon.

They'll eat it. Remember, they have small mouths. They can't eat very fast, especially in small numbers. Make sure that it is buried beneath the soil and that will keep it from smelling and you won't have to look at it.

I've had carrot and other veg turn to a mushy goo. It's a good thing for the worm bin. The pectin between plant cells is what allows the plant to hold it's shape, be firm, etc. As the pectin breaks down the cells are able to pull apart and the plant matter gets soft. The 'goopiness' allows the microbial life to get into the organic matter and begin decomposing it faster.
