hi! i just built a pergola so i transplanted a year old trumpet vine to grow on it. when i dug it up the deep taproot broke, but i planted what came up anyway, as well as another piece that broke off the end. do you think the one with the root will survive? and that the piece will take root? should i have tried to root it in water first?
