Honeysuckle Vine - help

Last year I planted a small Honeysuckle vine. Nothing really happened until late summer, where it just grew up the trellis with leaves. In the Spring this vine grew spectacular and has flowered 3 times. It is huge. Do I leave it alone and just trim it up? I live in Michigan. I hate to ruin it. Everyone who has seen it is amazed at its size and beauty. HELP!

Kathy, you can do either - cut it down to within one foot of the ground OR you can leave it. It will put out new growth either way, and bloom on that new growth. If you notice, mother nature doesn't cut them down intentionally, but sometimes it happens, and they still bloom beautifully, so suit your situation!
