Al, to insert an image on this site...

I looked at your pictures via the URLs. 99% chance of it being herbicide damage - specifically 2,4-D herbicide, the stuff found in broad leaf weed killers like "Weed-B-Gone".

If you sprayed it anywhere near your garden, or if any of your neighbors sprayed it within a fair distance it's possible for it to drift to your plants and cause the damage you are seeing.

On the bright side, they are not "done for" so to speak, but they will likely be stunted for a good while before they start putting out healthy growth again.

moms_helper - I don't think the gardenweb forums allow CSS (style='color:red') so you would have to type <font color='red'>. I could be wrong but I remember trying some CSS on the test forum once and it didn't work.

big al - here are your pics.

Looks to me like either a) herbicide damage or b) cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). I hope it's herbicide otherwise you've got a problem.

thanks to all who respond and helped... No one I know used a spray. so here's hoping all will turn out well ...it's a bummer to start the season this way.

Again thanks to all
