Virginia Creeper.

Virginia creeper clings by pads, almost impossible to remove, and will tear up a wall. You would not be able to paint the wall if you use this vine - I know from making a bad choice.

I would suggest using nylon bird netting, which comes in a clear nylon, and growing a twining vine. You could unhook the netting, lay the vine on the ground and paint.
