Iowa State Universtiy research indicates that the preferred application rate for CGM is 20 pounds per 1,000 square feet on turf grass. The CGM will not hurt your bulbs. CGM's herbicidal effects are limited to certain emerging seedlings and it has no effect on emerging perennial plants at all. Its effects are dependent on the weather, and last for about 5 weeks max. Rates range from 20-40 lbs. per 1000 square feet.
