Hi

We woke up one morning and found this plant suddenly marching across our backyard. It ate up most of the space in the garden area which surrounds our backyard, but now it's growing out into the grass itself. We're endanger of being overrun!

Can anyone identify this little nasty for us and suggest a good way of ridding our yard of it?

The only thing we can offer that might help in identifying it (besides this picture) is that it feels very sticky and if pushed on or stepped on it will stick to itself.
