Keeping it mowed and not letting them go to seed will be a first step to eliminating them, and unless they regrow to bloom beneath the mower height and start blooming, preventing seed will eliminate them within a few years without having to go to any additional work.

Holly Cow I got some of the same stuff just noticed it last year for the first time and have no idea what it is but it does reseed and now I have tons of it this year. The only good thing is that it does pull up by the root easy so if you find otu what it is please let us know .

As was said, it's bittercress, the genus name Cardamine. And the pods explode to shoot the seed a number of feet away from the plant.

Best remedy is to pull and trash or burn every plant you can locate. Then go over the area a week later to get those you missed. Then repeat.

You can get ahead of it. (I'm slowly gaining on mine.) But you will need to be persistent for a number of years. Lots of seeds haven't yet germinated.
