This is coming up in random places in a semi shady heavily mulched area bordering woods. I'm posting a separate photo with its roots...they are very hard to remove as they seem to travel along underground almost like a vine.

These come up every year & I try to pull out when I can or spray with Roundup.

Identification & advice please.
