My husband and I just put our house in a year ago. My husband farms so, We took out a chunk of farm ground to turn into our yard. I've been noticing, lately that some sort of weed has been growing in our yard. It looks almost exactly like a rose stem. The leaves on it are that greenish- red color just like rose leaves and they are shaped just like the leaves on roses. We have never planted roses here so, I know they aren't "tame" roses. Could they be wild roses? Or are they just nasty old weeds that I need to get rid of.

Also, there is something growing in our backyard (I haven't seen it) that my husband says is a "wild rose bush". I guess it is thorny. He says he sees them in the field all the time and that they are a pain to disk up. Is this something I should get rid of or will it get flowers on it?
