Fellow GWers, it is with sad heart that I simply must put aside my organic au naturale bent when it comes to creeping buttercup (Ranunculus repens), a/k/a Devil's Guts, Ram's Claws and Tether-Toad, among other charming nicknames. It is everywhere: In the garden beds, in the lawn, in the orchard. With a lot size of just over an acre, there is not enough time in the day for this working girl to hand weed these horrible things. Here in our Seattle area, it is not on the Noxious Weeds list, but is classified as a Weed of Concern. I'm thinking that's similar to a Person Of Interest in police parlance -- fairly sure he did it, but need a bit more proof. Like that. Soooo, can someone -- anyone -- give me some options on how best to kill/destroy/eradicate, bludgeon/murder/obliterate it from the face of this green earth? Any and all suggestions welcome. The more likely to cause tiny screams of anguish from this foul scourge the better.
