Depends. Is this just paper or is it vinyl or even vinyl covered? Just plain paper wallpaper wil be fine while the vinyl stuff would not.

I've got a couple rolls of each (paper and vinyl). Do you know what about the vinyl stuff would be bad? Is it the vinyl in itself or does that kind of wallpaper have some other chemicals in it that would be harmful? We have four rows of blueberries/raspberries (3ftx75ft rows) that we have just put in. Quack grasss is a real problem, but we don't want to spray chemicals. I did "cut out" the rows by digging out the top 18"-24" followed by several successions of tilling. I'd like to control the quack and weeds without using chemicals or harmful stuff if possible, especially since it's for fruits. We were going to then cover the rows (except the plants of course) with newspaper and wood chips/mulch. That's when I came across all the wallpaper and wondered if that would work in place of the newspaper- maybe it might last a little longer??? We were also toying with the idea of using old vinyl siding instead of edging(mainly because there is lots of it available for free and the edging can get spendy) to keep the quack from creeping back in. Is the vinyl siding a bad idea? Is it just as bad as using chemicals? We are open to ideas and input, and appreciate your help!
