That's not crabgrass. Crabgrass is more spread out than that. It looks like a Longspine Sandbur plant.

Different plants inhabit different areas, knowing at least what state you are in could help narrow it down.

Does bahia grow there? I battle that here but besides cutting and pulling it, haven't inspected it closely enough to see if it's the exact same as your plant. It has a red stem like that though, and I've broken 2 pairs of scissors on it in the past 2 weeks.
