This neat guy popped up along with a mass of other new friends a few months after tilling horse manure into a thistle & mallow infested lawn. I've never seen anything like this before and its the only one like it on the property. The leaf shape reminds me of oak or even almost like watermelon. Though most of his friends are headed for the compost pile, something about this prickly makes me smile. Almost considering leaving it alone during the clearing process and just let'm enjoy the rest of his life. Please help me find his name so I can learn his purpose.
