Manage is it but may take several applications. The trick to nutsedge is to zap it after the 2nd leaf stage but before the 5th. Somewhere around the 3rd and 4th leaf stage is when it's most susceptible. Still, it may take more than one attempt to exhaust its energy supply. Just keep at it. The real test is preventing it from returning next year. So, just rock and roll with it until YOU win or you'll battle it for the rest of forever.

Sometimes, I'll dig it up with my shovel. I usually get all the nutlets that way. It damages the turf, but it usually recovers. If it doesn't, I install a grass plug.
