Yellow nutsedge. A product called Manage will take care of it with two applications a week apart.

Thanks. It dosen't look like Manage is easy to buy. Any ideas where to get it?

Nutsedge is such a pain!! Image will do a good job on nutgrass. Manage is better but more expensive and I don't think it's available to homeowners. Image has growth regulator properties so be careful about application rate. Image will kill yellow nutsedge but not purple nutsedge. I believe the yellow is more common. Yellow nutsedge has a long, skinny tip and purple nutsedge has a thicker leaf blade all the way to the tip.

Hmmmm, I bought Manage at a local nursery here in St. Louis. I didn't know it was restricted. Image should work, but you have to treat it several times.

Curious if you got rid of your nutsedge. I sprayed once this year and it seems to have rid my yard of it - I'm amazed! Be sure to put a little dishwashing detergent (like Dawn) in the Manage mix before you spray - it's supposed to make it stick to the plant or something.

Yellow Nutsedge! evil stuff. I have fescue and Image works on it the stuff but it takes more than one application and more than one season typically. Pulling it is futile imo.
